Homeowners should observe the following requirements when looking to make an architectural change: |

All contruction projects should be confirmed with the Jefferson County Department of Planning and Zoning before building, as every lot has different property line restrictions.
In general the property line restriction breakdown goes like this:
- Front of the house: 25'
(though many houses are not permitted front side construction of any type)
- Back of property: 20'
- Side of Property: 12'

If you are on a corner lot, then any side facing a road is considered a Front property line, and is retricted to 25'. Again, you should confer with the J.C. Dept. of Planning and Zoning to get your exact numbers.

All Sheds require permits regardless of size.
|

Any shed less than or equal to 150 sqft does not require an inspection.
